Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Community Services’ Better at Home Program assists senior citizens in our community to maintain independence and enables them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. The Better at Home program provides non-medical home supports including, transportation to medical appointments (local and long-distance), grocery shopping and delivery, friendly visits, light housekeeping and handyperson services to help maintain a safe and independent home environment. We are currently recruiting a part-time Housekeeper to join our Better at Home team! This position will consist of general housekeeping duties will be performed in seniors’ homes, such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, dishes, floors, etc., along with other duties requested and approved by the supervisor. Education, Training and Experience Grade 10, along with a minimum of six months related experience. Additional Requirements Clear Criminal Record Check is required; Trauma Informed Practice training and experience; Current First Aid and CPR; Valid and unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s License with access to a safe, reliable vehicle; Union Membership. This is a unionized position with a starting rate of $20.84 per hour.
