Position:CHILD &amp YOUTH CARE WORKER Job Type:&nbspCasual (On-Call) The Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District (SD42) is looking for qualified candidates who are interested in working as casual Child and Youth Care Workers in our district. Child and Youth Care Workers assist with the implementation of universal, targeted and intensive supports to foster social/emotional learning within school communities. The applicant will possess:&nbsp Successful completion of Grade 12 plus completion of the Child/Youth Care Worker Diploma, Experience working directly with at-risk students an asset, Ability to work harmoniously and communicate effectively within a work environment requiring a high degree of courtesy, tact and maintenance of confidentiality, Successful completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, Valid B.C. Driver's license. If you can be regularly available for work (Monday to Friday) and are able to travel to any school within the District (from Pitt Meadows to Whonnock), we'd love to meet you. While this position is casual (on-call) with no guarantee of hours, call-outs are steadily available and there are also many opportunities for securing regular positions as you gain seniority. The Rate of Pay is $30.36 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits.
