She came down from Prince Rupert through our Drive for Lives Transfer Program. Akida had a difficult start in life. She takes some time to get used to strangers, but once she knows you, she is a very affectionate dog! She walks like a dream on her harness and really loves her treats. Akida would do well in a home with breed experience, a good routine and owners that will take the time to teach her some basic manners and training. She can be quite jumpy at times and because of this, we do not feel she is suitable for a home with young children. She adores toys, the squeakier the better and is fantastic at fetch! Akida is an active girl who will require daily exercise. She also loves to eat her meals out of puzzle dishes to keep her mentally stimulated. She can be picky when she meets new dogs and is not suitable for a home with cats. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption process has changed.
