Hazardous Waste and Special Materials Handling Technician The Role The primary responsibility for the Hazardous Waste Business Development Manager is to increase sales in the designated territory of the Lower Mainland, with huge growth opportunity. You will partner with leaders within the hazardous waste recycling industry through established relationships or by building relationships with suppliers and customers. Achieve sales quotas for the region as set by the company, with your collaboration . Formulate an effective customer call strategy to maximize opportunities in the region. Ensure customer needs are effectively met and build productive customer relationships. Comply with all national and local laws and company policies and procedures associated with marketing and business practices Sort all hazardous waste entering the facility and ensure proper classification and sorting, bulking and packaging the material and transporting to the proper recycler. Qualifications 3+ years B2B sales experience required - industry related experience and consultative sales experience preferred. Contract/Service type sales experience is essential, rather than a physical product type sale. Must be able to discuss the features, advantages, and benefits of all services the company offers. High degree of sales acumen & training. Previously experience with reviewing and responding to RFPs and tenders is ideal, but not essential  Strong business development and sales skills Previous knowledge in handling and classifying industrial, commercial, and residential waste to ensure proper packaging and transportation to the recycler required.
